Maori history slides updated

hi bloggers today ill be blogging my updated maori history slides from last term and added information from both term one and this term (term two). the things i added has fauna and flora, then and now of wigram, 3 plants to chose from and make a sketch of it and put it on a slide. one more canva presentation about birds, and etc…

the other thing i added was a bunch of facts and ill show u one right here.

The cabbage tree is one of the most distinctive trees in the New Zealand landscape, especially on farms. They grow all over the country, but prefer wet, open areas like swamps.

and also did you know that the trunk of the cabbage tree is so fire-resistant that early European settlers used it to make chimneys for their huts. Conveniently, too, the leaves made fine kindling. They also brewed beer from the root.

also a fact i liked a lot is

Māori used cabbage trees as a food, fibre and medicine. The root, stem and top are all edible, a good source of starch and sugar. The fibre is separated by long cooking or by breaking up before cooking.

these are all facts from a screenshot in my slides that is about cabbage tree facts. i have six facts on the sheet of facts i just said and there a very long facts too!

there will be twelve slides in my updated maori history slideshow and this will be the last maori history slides i will be blogging.

these are the other three facts from that fact sheet.

Their strong root system helps stop soil erosion on steep slopes and because they tolerate wet soil, they are a useful species for planting along stream banks.

Cabbage trees are good

colonising species, growing happily on bare ground or exposed places.

Cabbage trees are one of the most widely cultivated New Zealand natives and are very popular in Europe, Britain and the U.S. In the U.K. they are known as Torquay palm.

that is all the facts, i hope you enjoyed this last maori history slides blog. but ill see you bloggers nexts time! check out this slideshow and also remember to comment and i will really appreciate it! see you bloggers!

after you’ve made a copy and put it in your inquiry folder, after you’ve done that you have to but a then and now and fill it out.

after you’ve filled it, put it in your slide and then you have to blog it. after you have blogged it you have finished!

Maori History slide’s the treaty

hi bloggers, today ill be blogging about the Treaty of Waitangi, for the slides first we have to create a story maps slides and then putting information of before the treaty was sighed and what happened at the treaty, firstly we watched a video of the treaty and got the information from it.

after we’ve done that we had to make a pixton about what happened at the treaty using the information we gained at the story map, we can also gain more information on the comic slides in the maori history folder in inquiry.

after you’ve finished the pixton we have to put a estimate of why you think the treaty was signed. using the information we have to make you opinion, 2 reasons, and one summary on the slides to finish that task!

when you have finished the slides, you have to do a slides about what happened after the treaty. to get that information you have to go past the canva one and then it will say after the treaty.

for the last and final task we have to make a canva about the facts you have collected on you other slide and then put all the information into a video, lastly you have to put the video onto the slides. to put the stuff on the slides you have to download the canva veideo first. then you drag the video onto the slide your putting the video on. after you’ve done that you have finished!

you can also do it the same with your blog!

remember to comment on my blog, and otherwise see you next time bloggers!

winter sports tasks

greetings bloggers, today  I’ll be talking about a winter sports slide, winter sports is gonna begin in term 2! and its almost the end of term 1!

for this slide we had to make a slide that we get from the swimming task board! in the slide we will be making a slide about our first three choices for winter sports to do, the sports are on the other winter sports slides. winter sports is only for year 5 or 6, so the year 4’s and under can’t participate in winter sports.

the sports i chose were football, badminton, and then goal ball you can see what all the sports do on the slide and you can make you own slide and then you can put in your favourite sports!

anyways check out this slideshow.

have a great day!

brain box inquiry slides

this week for inquiry we have to finish out inquiry slides and there are six activities and the activities are plantastic, fizzing and foaming, speedier sepheros, brain box electronics, dye masters, and states of matter.

the activity i chose was brain box electronics, for brain box electronics there were thirteen slides and there were six main parts and the parts are question, hypothesis, materials, procedure, results, and conclusion.

the making took a lot of time but the results were good, for our brain boxes we had to make a circuit and we had to do all the main parts of the slide.

this is the slide i made!
